Joe Biden responds to allegations: He “never” acted inappropriately around women

Vice President Joe Biden said on Sunday he “never” acted inappropriately over his more than four-decade career in politics, in response to allegations that he kissed a former Nevada lawmaker — unsolicited — on the back of the head.

“In my many years on the campaign trail and in public life, I have offered countless handshakes, hugs, expressions of affection, support and comfort,” Biden said in a statement Sunday. “And not once — never — did I believe I acted inappropriately.”

“If it is suggested I did so, I will listen respectfully. But it was never my intention,” the statement …

Alex Jones blames “psychosis” for his Sandy Hook conspiracies

Notorious conspiracy theorist Alex Jones claims a “form of psychosis” caused him to believe that the Sandy Hook massacre was staged.

For years Jones, the founder of InfoWars.com, peddled a conspiracy theory about the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, where a gunman brutally killed 20 children and six adults in 2012. Jones has repeatedly claimed the massacre was a “giant hoax” carried out by “crisis actors” in a broad scheme to trample on Second Amendment rights.

In a video released Friday, Jones acknowledged in a sworn deposition stemming from a lawsuit filed by the families of Sandy Hook …

House Democrats want answers on why a citizenship question was added to the 2020 census

Congressional Democrats are preparing to issue their first round of subpoenas to President Donald Trump’s new attorney general this week — but not on the issues that one might expect.

For months, House Democrats have threatened to subpoena Trump and top members of his inner circle for everything from the Mueller investigation to Trump’s personal finances and business dealings. But one week after a summary of Mueller’s findings were released to the public, the House Oversight Committee plans to vote on Tuesday to issue subpoenas to Attorney General Barr and Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross related to a question on the …

Georgia passes 6-week ‘fetal heartbeat’ bill that bans most abortions

The Georgia House of Representatives approved a bill that would effectively ban most abortions in the state on Friday.

The bill, titled HB481, or the Living Infants Fairness and Equality (LIFE) Act, would bar women from terminating their pregnancies after a fetal heartbeat is first detected, which can be as early as around the six-week mark. That is a point prior to which most women are even aware they are pregnant. If passed, this legislation would be one of the most restrictive abortion bans in the U.S. and an affront to a woman’s constitutional right to an abortion.

A blocked execution in Texas

Trump’s threats to close the US-Mexico border, explained

President Donald Trump has occasionally threatened to “shut down” the US-Mexico border for months. Nothing has happened.

But now, the president is putting an actual timeline on the threat — insisting that he will shut down all or “large portions” of the US-Mexico border “next week” unless Mexico stops all Central American migration into the US.

It took Trump 90 seconds to lie about the “Mueller report” during Michigan speech

Less than two minutes into President Donald Trump’s speech in Grand Rapids, Michigan, he lied about special counsel Robert Mueller’s final report.

“The collusion delusion is over,” Trump said on Thursday night, in his first speech since Attorney General Bill Barr announced some of Mueller’s key conclusions on Sunday. “The special counsel completed its report and found no collusion and no obstruction.”

It is not true, however, that the special counsel exonerated Trump of obstruction of justice. While we still can’t say for sure what the special counsel said — all we know of Mueller’s final report came by …

A decade of leggings controversy, explained

The years-long debate over whether women should wear leggings in public — and when — is somehow still raging.

As reported by the Washington Post, Maryann White, a woman who identified herself as a Catholic mother of four sons, caused a stir on the University of Notre Dame campus by writing a letter to the editor of the student newspaper. The letter, titled “The legging problem,” expresses her dismay at seeing college students in leggings at Mass on campus last fall. It has many incredible turns of phrase, such as, “I wonder why no one thinks it’s strange that …

6 key moments from Cory Booker’s CNN town hall

Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) has struggled to break through in the crowded 2020 Democratic primary. He is campaigning on an aspirational message — love and unity in short — and his policy prescriptions tend to have a more pragmatic bent.

The full spectrum of Cory Booker was on display during a CNN town hall on Wednesday night broadcasting from Orangeburg, South Carolina. He said he would “absolutely” consider issuing mass commutations and pardons for federal marijuana offenses and touted his baby bonds proposal. He praised the Green New Deal for its visionary scope, comparing it to the Apollo missions …

What You Should Know Before Buying Digital Piano

The Yamaha P45 is not the best of the best when it comes to electronic pianos regarding its quality and cost. But it actually comes with quite a repertoire of samples and sounds, a rather fancy keyboard and the connectivity you need that will make you look away from the negative features or characteristics. Yamaha is already well-known for the quality of their products, and having said this together with the ease of control can basically make this products one of the best options for apprentices out there who want to practice and carry it with them anywhere. …
